Now that the dawn of 2024 has broken, the Kobukan Kobudo Renmei is looking forward to a great year filled with new training opportunities, the deepening of friendships, and growth as an international organization, teaching Ninpo and Ju-jutsu to members around the world.
At the time of this blog posting, being only 4 months into the official opening of the Kobudo organization, we have accomplished a lot together as a martial arts family, both at the student level and as instructors. And, this year will prove to be a furtherance of an ambitious set of goals for our organization.

Direct Access to Kancho James Wright
Among some of the most exciting news is that, Kobukan founder, Kancho Wright is now teaching classes online to students around the world. Any Kobukan member holding 7th Kyu or higher, with a Leadership or Instructor membership, is eligible to attend.
Further, videos of that months training are now available On Demand to allow more students access to this training. Partipants can train along, anywhere in the world, 24-7!
New Kobukan Equipment Shop
In January of this year, there was a soft launch to the official Kobukan Kobudo online shop. We plan to roll out a lot of apparel and training supplements on an ongoing bases. In addition, Kobukan dojo and group leaders can register as an affiliate.
Free Newsletter for Members and Non-Members
The very first edition of Kuden: The Official Newsletter of the Kobukan was released in December of 2023. We are offering this as a resource to all regardless of affiliation. You can stay up-to-date on organizational happenings at large, and even get a taste of Kobukan training with our technique highlight. If you haven’t yet, be sure to sign-up for this valuable resource.
2024 Training In Japan
This April, a handful of instructors will visit Japan for training, sightseeing, and cameraderie. In addition, we’ll be discussing future plans. Be sure to keep an ear out for new updates, post-trip.
2024 Seminar In The UK
We’re excited to have our first Kobukan seminar in the United Kingdom, from August 15-18, 2024. This will include premiere training in our kobudo arts, as well as, lots of opportunities for fun with our extended Kobukan family.
